Parkside Elementary serves one of the most underprivileged, lower-income areas of Salt Lake City. Nevertheless, its school district has been at the forefront of advancing new technologies to help students learn and thrive despite their circumstances. Intel, InfiniG, T-Mobile, and AT&T teamed up to provide laptops and a private network that solved key challenges for the school and surrounding area, such as easy and continuous high-speed connectivity, 911 Emergency calling, 2nd language translation services and AI-enabled applications. This project is expected to become a blueprint to scale to K-12 school districts.
