Peloton's journey from daily batch recommendations, to contextually-aware real-time recommendations, reflects the expansion of their platform from a bike to multiple platforms (e.g. treadmill). Peloton leverages many AWS services, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS), and Amazon DynamoDB to deliver recommendations to their customers based on an extensive set of features, and a graph of member activities and preferences.
