"NVIDIA Distinguished Engineer Tom Petersen presents a number of tech demos for the GeForce GTX 980 & 970 graphics cards, powered by our new Maxwell architecture.
In this demo, Tom is using Cornell Box, a classic configuration developed by Cornell University used to help us calculate lighting accuracy in rendered scenes. Here NVIDIA showcases Voxel Global Illumination (VXGI), a breakthrough technology that simulates real-time lighting on our Maxwell GPUs for more realistic, immersive graphics with today’s PC games."
