We had an opportunity to speak with Rob Bateman, managing director for the Away Foundation and founder of the Away3D engine. Away3D is an open source, real time 3D engine for the Flash Platform and is included in the Adobe Game SDK. In its fourth incarnation, Away3D now takes advantage of Flash Player 11's Stage 3D APIs, enabling full 3D GPU acceleration for AMD graphics technology.
