Mityvac has Honda Adapters! #automobile #brakesystem #mechanic

A while back I was complaining after getting my new Mityvac brake pressure bleeder set because it did not contain any Honda specific adapters. Instead I had to use the ‘universal’ adapter that came in my kit which I found awkward to use, but it did work.

My first attempt at solving this was to purchase Honda specific adapters that I might be able to use with the Mityvac system I had. Turns out that other companies that make those Honda specific adapters do not work with the Mityvac system, which is logical, but I was able to find a work around when I transferred one of the Mityvac adapters to my new Honda specific adapter from another company. This did work, but the adapter didn’t fit Honda master cylinders all that well.

Apparently Mityvac saw my video and sent me this new kit that includes 2 Honda specific adapters. Yes, this is more expensive than my original solution of making my own adapters, but these work much better and come in a handy blow molded case.

In conclusion, you can make Honda specific adapters for the Mityvac system by purchasing adapters from another company that makes Honda specific adapters and transferring one of the Mityvac connectors over to the new adapter. OR you can get 2 Honda specific adapters from Mityvac that will work right out of the box.

Lastly, if you’re having issues with the hose in your Mityvac system reach out to them for a replacement.
