Stewart Tansley from Microsoft Research chairs this session at Faculty Summit 2012. The tile-based user interface first showcased for Windows Phone has become basis of the new look and feel of the experience of most of MicrosoftΓÇÖs products. But Metro is more that an UI (User Interface) language. It is a set of design principles that have been adopted across the company. WhatΓÇÖs the background to Metro?
