When it debuted last fall, the Optimus G was LG's finest-ever smartphone effort. Finished in gleaming glass and chrome with an eyeball-rattling texture pattern around back and a brilliant display up front, the G defied our expectations at nearly every turn. That trend continued on the software side, the device running a custom software skin that was anything but subtle, yet still managed to deliver a far more responsive experience than its 4.0.4 underpinnings would suggest. In our full review, we gave the Optimus G high marks for its accomplishments, but expressed concern about its prospects for long-term support. Nearly eight months later, it's time to come back around to the 2012's LG flagship to see how well it's held up in the time since.
