The HTC Thunderbolt has essentially the same specs as the Inspire 4G, but with inclusion of the 4G LTE radio. It has a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8655 CPU, which performs better than the chip found on the EVO 4G. It has 768MB of RAM, providing plenty of multitasking prowess. In terms of storage, you get about 2.5GB onboard, and another 30GB through the 32GB microSD card, granting you about 32.5GB of space for apps, music, and whatever else you store on your phone. The Super LCD display is 4.3" and 800x480 resolution and provides a fantastic level of color saturation and contrast. Powering the device is a 1400mAh battery.

On the front there is a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video chat and self-portraits, and on the back there is an 8MP camera with 720p video recording capability.

Overall the hardware of the Thunderbolt feels nice, but not as nice as the Inspire 4G because it lacks the slim metal unibody constructions. In terms of thickness, the Thunderbolt will be middle-of-the-road when compared to Verizon's other upcoming 4G smartphones like the LG Revolution and Samsung Stealth.
