Last year’s Fire HDX 8.9 is a tablet we hold dear to our hearts. It doesn’t sport the most beautiful hardware, and you’ll find better software on most tablets. But despite its faults, the device still managed to offer a great experience tied closely to Amazon’s immense ecosystem of apps, books, music and movies.
