The Galaxy S5 has a heart rate monitor, but how well does it work? We tested it to find out. In general, S Health 3.0 is a really clean and solid looking application on the Galaxy S5. The heart rate sensor, however, isn't as unique as you might think. While it works perfectly well — simply open the app and place a finger over the sensor — the readings are identical to what you'll find on competing apps, which are widely available for Android and iOS devices.
