Regardless of whichever job you take, you can always count on friends and family to ask you for "hook-ups." For example, if you work in the retail industry, your friends and family likely come to you for discounts. In our industry things are a little different, people ask us to review products they helped create or write a story about something they like or have. Not only are requests sometimes irrelevant to what we focus on TechnoBuffalo, and as professional journalist, we just can't do this. It really breaks our hearts turning people away but we wish they would just stop asking. What request from friends and family have you had to deal with?
