T-Mobile SpringBoard Unboxing & Hands On

The T-Mobile SpringBoard is joining the diminutive tablet market amongst some stiff competition -- Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet. So how does this one plan to stand out?
Immediately the most striking thing about the SpringBoard is its attractive and solid design. Think of the original iPad but scaled down to a 7-inch screen. Oh, and running Android. It's a bit on the heavy side, so we can see it being difficult to hold with one hand for an extended amount of time, but despite its weight, it feels good. Also of note is that the device will run on T-Mobile's 14.4Mbps HSPA+ network.
The SpringBoard hits November 16 on T-Mobile at $180 with a two-year contract (and $50 mail in rebate), or $430 off-contract. Also dropping the same week is the Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet and Galaxy Tab 7.0, so consumers have a lot to choose from. Of course, once we get more hands-on time with the device we'll bring your more in-depth thoughts. Check out the video for our full unboxing, and stay tuned for further SpringBoard coverage.
