We're excited to have Mark Watson, aka SoldierKnowsBest on YouTube, join our TechnoBuffalo team. Each Friday he will be bringing you a recap of all the hottest news in the tech world, and his first video for us is jam packed with all of the details you crave.

First up, how could you do any recap of this week without talking about the Verizon iPhone deal? We've been waiting for this announcement since 2007, and to see it finally come down felt more like a relief than anything else. At long last we can stop all of the speculation and just get down to business. Existing Verizon customers can begin pre-ordering the phone on Feb. 3rd and new customers can get in on the excitement on Feb. 10th.

Apple also released iOS 4.3 to developers this week, and while there was a lot of talk about how the new version will bring Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities to all iPhones, there was also some new multi-touch gestures that has led some to believe that the home button will be removed from all iOS devices. We have to agree with Mark, this is not an idea that is going to thrill many people. There are also some hints of a new "Find My Friends" feature and new features for AirPlay.

Google wants to translate all of your conversations for you so you can more easily talk with people who speak another language. This is a definite step towards the universal translator of Star Trek lore.

Are you a dedicated gamer? Would you ever take two years to make a feature length film using nothing but Grand Thevt Auto IV? Well, some dedicated souls did, and the result is Grand Theft Auto IV: Trashmaster. We admire their dedication.

That's it for this week.
