Replayer is a networked software architecture designed to promote collaborative, cross-discipline analysis of large heterogeneous data sets. Developed primarily for evaluators, Replayer supports the entire data-driven evaluation process, from creating standardised log files directly from the system code in an integrated development environment, through retrieving files form external devices, to sychronising, managing, searching and visualising the recorded data. It supports many diverse media including Video, Audio, System Logs, Photographs, Geographical data, Post-hoc data, and various others. Replayer supports both quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques and encourages a mix of both to provide a greater understanding of the hidden connections between different data. Replayer is a cross platform, client-server based system, that allows many users to work collaboratively with the same data using brushing and linking between different components. This talk will describe the Replayer system, then examine some of the ways it can support the process of real world system evaluation.
