Sharing data on AWS makes it accessible to a large and growing community of researchers, entrepreneurs, and enterprises who use the AWS cloud. Many of our commercial sector customers rely on quality open data as much as they rely on our cloud infrastructure services. Many of our public sector customers use AWS to make their data available to a global community of researchers, entrepreneurs, students, and fellow government agencies. In this talk, we’ll show you that AWS provides a comprehensive toolkit for gathering, storing, analyzing, and working with data at any scale. We will discuss the concept of open data as a platform for innovative applications and dive into public datasets, e.g. from Life and Earth Sciences, that are hosted on AWS.
