Earth Networks manages and operates sensor networks that collect real-time weather and lightning data. The company then distributes observations from these sensors in the form of current conditions, forecasts and severe weather alerts to a wide variety of users across their award-winning WeatherBug branded products that include mobile apps, the desktop app and the website www.weatherbug.com.
Earth Networks uses Amazon CloudFront's dynamic content features such as low time-to-live, query strings, and cookies to customize their users' experience by distributing local information to millions of users in near-real time.
