Joe expands on five existing barriers to smart city market – lack of leadership, lack of scale, lack of business models, lack of customer and lack of trust. He further cites cases where several IT companies are using obsolete models to sell to the current smart city market.
The session then focuses on solutions to these barriers and how Future Cities Catapult is helping various cities in the UK and globally to devise and implement these solutions.
