CI/CD for Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Customers (Cloud Next '18)

In a 2017 survey of companies with 1000+ employees, 85% said they operated in a hybrid/multi-cloud environment. Cloud-based CI/CD SaaS products require that your source code, artifacts and other build dependencies are also publicly accessible in the cloud. Customers with onprem resources typically would have to run open-source versions onprem with all the corresponding overhead of managing, maintaining, and scaling the service oneself. We’ll show how GCP customers can build and test their applications on Google hosted infrastructure in the cloud with secure access to onprem resources like GitHub Enterprise, BitBucket, GitLab, and Artifactory, marrying hybrid environments with the scale, security, and ease of use of hosted services
