Istio Service Mesh for VM Native (Cloud Next '19)

This session we will provide an introduction to service mesh, discussing why people are interested in service meshes. We will discuss using Istio Service Mesh for VM-based workloads. We'll provide a primer on the service discovery of VM-based workloads into an Istio Service Mesh. We will talk about how to templatize the deployment of Envoy as a sidecar proxy in a VM environment. Finally, we'll show a VM-based application running in an Istio Service Mesh.
