By using Amazon SageMaker, AGCO was able to architect, build, and deploy a big data analytics platform on AWS in just 15 weeks. Headquartered in Georgia, AGCO is a $9.4 billion American agricultural equipment manufacturer that delivers agricultural solutions to farmers worldwide through its many well-known brands, including Challenger, Fendt, GSI, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra. Within six months of its ML platform being in production, AGCO has improved sales productivity through better lead generation, built a recommendation engine for cross-selling opportunities, and implemented predictive maintenance solutions, enabling the company to maximize uptime of equipment in the field. Ahmad Haider, lead enterprise data science architect at AGCO, spoke onstage at the 2019 AWS Summit in Atlanta to an audience of over 4,000 attendees.
