Using AWS, Sun Life Financial has transformed the way it utilizes digital data and analytics to help its clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. Sun Life is a global financial services company headquartered in Toronto, Canada with operations in 26 countries, $30.5 billion in market capitalization, a $951 billion asset-management business, and a 154-year history of serving clients. Using AWS, Sun Life realized a 300-percent increase in capacity and performance of its data and analytics capabilities. The company uses AWS services including AWS Direct Connect for real-time data movement; AWS Glue and Amazon S3 for data storage; Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Athena, and Amazon Redshift for analytics; and Amazon SageMaker for machine learning and AI-based recommendation engines.
