5G is bringing added capabilities to first responders that will make us all safer. In this video, Nokia’s Basil Marsh discusses how Nokia is working with Verizon on 5G for public safety and the new capabilities the system will bring. These include faster response times, better situational awareness and the ability to transmit video to and from the event site. 5G will enable first responders to use autonomous devices, like drones, leveraging the low latencies and broadband capabilities of 5G to control the devices and project video back to the operations control center. Nokia’s understanding of the end-to-end solution is key to the success of Verizon’s 5G public safety solution.
