King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang’s (KMITL) Research and Innovation Services (KRIS) increased its ability to innovate on behalf of its staff and students by building a centralized, scalable database on Amazon Web Services (AWS). KRIS is a nonprofit organization, found in 2016 by combining KMITL’s existing research division, applied research division, and the university’s business incubation division. KRIS aims to develop advanced technology solution to address national problems in the economic development, advanced manufacturing, logistics, and biomedical solutions. KMITL uses a variety of services from AWS to power its infrastructure.
