Today Brad talks with the CISO of Unilever, Bobby Ford. They discuss the work that goes into protecting a multinational corporation with 160,000 employees, 400 brands, and countless products used by 2.5 billion people every day. If you've drunk tea, eaten ice cream, used a cosmetic, practiced any form of hygiene, or cleaned something today -- then you're almost certainly in that massive group of people.

Bobby explains the tactics and strategies he uses to protect a distributed workforce, how he goes about balancing risk vs. business needs (he has a bias toward saying "yes" to the business), and how a mature and effective cybersecurity strategy is developed.

The guys also discuss the famous Unilever logo and its 25 components, and an unusual caller interrupts to pitch Bobby on new ice cream flavors (Unilever is the world's largest creator of ice cream, with brands like Ben & Jerry's, Dove, Breyers, Good Humor, etc.).

Bobby also shares his thoughts on the importance of diversity (both of background and perspective) in the workplace, as well as his own experiences navigating this critically important topic.

Other discussion topics: British food, arm wrestling, road signs, name changes, pushups, the Queen, shampoo, quesadillas, wombats, Microsoft 365, DNA, angry ghosts, and collaboration.
