Cloud Functions is Google Cloud’s functions-as-a-service (FaaS) offering for developers to create single-purpose, stand-alone functions that respond to cloud events without the need to manage a server or runtime environment. Cloud Functions serves IoT workloads, ETL, webhooks, Kafka messages, analytics, and event-driven services.
