Veterans served their nation selflessly, but service sometimes weighs heavily on their mental health, and stigma can be a barrier to seeking help. With support from Google’s veteran community, a group of U.S. veterans ranging from a Google employee to a retired Admiral shared firsthand stories about the value of coming forward and asking for help.
This is Claudia's story. A diesel mechanic in the army, Claudia was sexually assaulted, then struggled for 13 years, coping, but not thriving. Now, after seeking help and committing to therapy, she's changed her life.
