Sysco delivers 30 million meals to local communities with Microsoft Teams

Sysco is a global leader in selling, marketing, and distributing food products to restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, lodging establishments, and other customers who prepare meals for people away from home. The global company, headquartered in Houston, Texas, operates more than 320 distribution facilities worldwide and serves more than 650,000 customer locations.

When COVID-19 caused many of its customers to shut down or reduce operations and many employees to work from home, Microsoft Teams provided a way for Sysco’s workforce to collaborate virtually to respond to the crisis. Sysco has also embraced Teams live events for virtual meetings that keep everyone engaged and connected. The company took on charitable initiatives across the world, helping redistribute food and assisting with charitable food drives.
