Amazon EMR Support for Targeted ODCR

Amazon EMR is the industry-leading cloud big data platform for processing vast amounts of data using open source tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Apache HBase, Apache Flink, Apache Hudi, and Presto. On-Demand Capacity Reservations (ODCR) enable you to reserve compute capacity for your Amazon EC2 instances in a specific Availability Zone for any duration.

In this video, we introduce you to the problem EMR looks to solve by providing support for Targeted ODCR, an explanation of the use case Targeted ODCR intends to help, the capacity allocation behavior EMR uses when using Targeted ODCR, two use case examples, and a demo with the AWS SDK for Java and AWS Management Console.
