Speaker: Darren Edge, Director of Societal Resilience, Microsoft Research Cambridge
Microsoft is a founding member of Tech Against Trafficking (TAT) – a coalition of organizations working to combat human trafficking with technology. In this session, we will introduce partnerships with the Counter Trafficking Data Collaborative (CTDC), UN Migration (IOM), Unseen UK, and Seattle Against Slavery, that have been forged through TAT initiatives. We will also discuss the approaches and technologies that we have developed to support these organizations and the broader anti-trafficking community. These include new tools for (a) technology discovery and advocacy, (b) privacy-preserving sharing of victim case records, (c) case clustering and categorization within real-world data sources, and (d) real-world evidence development on the causes and consequences of trafficking.
