We used to think that users will see and interact with one activity at any given moment. Starting with Android 12L, that assumption is not valid any more. Android 12L+ brings multi-tasking front and center, allowing the users to have two activities on the screen, either from different apps or the same app. This talk covers what you need to know in order to launch your app in multi-window, take advantage of the extra real estate, and show more than one activity at the same time.
