AWS WAF is a web application firewall that helps protect web applications from attacks by allowing you to configure rules that allow, block, or monitor (count) web requests based on conditions that you define. AWS WAF adds support for Custom Responses which allows AWS WAF to send a custom HTTP response back to the client. These codes can be used to redirect users to different parts of your application or provide users a specific response code based on the reason they were blocked by AWS WAF.

You can get more information on this Custom Responses feature from our AWS WAF documentation found here: go.aws/3G7w4x0
