Nokia's Network as Code team participated in the Tampere Smart City Expo and Conference 2023, hosted at Nokia Arena for innovative showcases and collaborations

One of the highlights of TSCEC this year was the cutting-edge display robot showcase which was made possible by leveraging the advancements of 5G millimeter wave technology. Another showcase was the VR experience, where individuals could immerse themselves in real-time footage from a nearby tram.

The robot showcase was a collaboration between Nokia, the City of Tampere, and Business Tampere. Skoda Transtech provided real-time footage and passenger status graphs, while Kepit Systems delivered the content through their robust content delivery network (CDN) to the robot and VR glasses. The team at Autonomous Units and JTA Connection handled the delivery, programming, and maintenance of the moving robot.
