Ericsson have embraced the principles of Open RAN and this demo highlights their CloudRAN product offering on Intel’s 4th generation Xeon processor with vRAN Boost and using Intel Network Interface cards. This demo will highlight Ericsson’s capacity roadmap as they transition to the latest generation of Xeon processors and how they leverage the benefits of the new Intel 5G instructions and Integrated vRAN boos acceleration. This allows them to be able to offer a single server vDU per site.
