SAP Concur successfully migrated over 85,000 SQL Server databases to AWS in about 8 months, resulting in a 72% reduction in total cost of ownership and enabling the company to focus on innovation and expansion. SAP Concur provides solutions for managing expenses, invoices, and travel bookings to over 65,000 customers worldwide, generating more than 30 million expense reports and 5 million bookings each month. When migrating SQL Server to Amazon EC2, SAP Concur opted to use Bring Your Own License (BYOL) and AWS Optimization and Licensing Assessment (AWS OLA) for cost reduction while executing database workloads. SAP Concur is also exploring generative AI models through Amazon Bedrock to enhance innovation and deliver world-class customer experiences.
