Vietnam is one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets, projected to reach 150 million air passengers by 2035. To support this growth, the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) has partnered with Nokia to modernize its southern air traffic control network. By upgrading aging SDH systems to Nokia’s advanced mission-critical IP/MPLS technology, VATM will achieve enhanced network performance, scalability, and improved cybersecurity resilience.
The new network will ensure real-time communication for controllers which will improve safety and efficiency for airlines and military using the region's airspace. This modernization strengthens Vietnam’s commitment to safe, secure, and future-ready air travel.
