AMD Ryzen laptops with the 9955HX and 9955HX3D could be some of the best gaming devices around. Instead, we are seeing a subtle trend of putting them into older and / or power limited situations that cap their performance and reduce their feature sets. But does that even matter to most gamers? Let's investigate with the ROG STRIX G16 from 2025.

2:00 Labels are flipped. Intel has WiFi 7, BT 5.4 & TB5, NOT AMD.
5:27 Reference here was to TGP prior to Dynamic Boost. Instead of 115W + 30W, these laptops are 130W + 25W with some games (Cyberpunk, BLOPS 6, etc.) hitting 150W or more.
