One of the first characters to greet you at Cirque du Soleil's ECHO is a 30-foot, 12-ton box that transforms and moves radically throughout the performance. Adam Savage delves into this engineering marvel -- dubbed The Cube -- with head of carpentry and props Ali Bowman and head of automation Riley Naughton, who explain the challenges and advantages of the complex system that is the basis -- and one of the stars -- of this traveling show.
