We are here today with another speed comparison between Google Nexus 6 running Android Marshmallow and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge running Android Lollipop. Let’s find out which beats the other.

Android Marshmallow is still available only as a developer preview, the developer preview 3 of Android 6.0 running here on the Nexus6. Whereas the Galaxy S 6 Edge one of the latest Samsung smartphones is running Android 5.0.2.

The both devices were switched on so as to test which one would turn on first and surprisingly it was the edge that displayed the home screen first upon startup while the Nexus was still showing the new boot screen on Android M. Other than that, other activities like opening of similar apps in both devices didn’t show much of a difference with regards to time. This was expected because both the smartphones are new and the OS is also only 2 generations apart.

On a side note something that was visible was that in the multitasking window Android M does not show a close all button but the Android Lollipop does. We still don’t know what Android’s intention is of removing this feature. It’s anyway still the developer preview so we are bound to see many future changes in the OS.
