Darren Schmidt of National Instruments talks about the European Space Observatory project

Darren Schmidt pioneered the first work at National Instruments with CUDA for LabVIEW. He talks about his recent work on how he would control the European Space Observatory telescope project using LabVIEW and CUDA. This telescope is a 40M mirror (nearly half a football fields length) and is challenged in focusing the discreet 1M individual mirrors due to over 3,000 sensors and 3,000 actuators required to focus this incredible telescope.
