Josh Benaloh from Microsoft Research chairs this session at Faculty Summit 2012. Election technologies in current use have been shown to have significant vulnerabilities and are widely distrusted. In this session, experts on systems, data security, statistics, usability, and public policy will detail problems with current systems and examine approaches that can enable public verification of the accuracy of election results.
