With genome sequencing becoming less expensive and more accessible, researchers have a new front of attack against disease. David Patterson of the University of California, Berkeley, along with Bill Bolosky and Ravi Pandya of Microsoft Research, discuss their efforts to bring Big Data to bear against cancer by using genomics.
