In this video ill show you the easiest way to open your NAT type to at least 2.

First just test your connection, to see if you get the UPnP error and nat type.

Its way better to use port triggering ! (because of the changing ip adress for most users (DHCP))

and its more safe, because the port opens on demand !

If you dont want to trigger you could also use UPNP or DMZ

Router Setup

2) type in "ipconfig /all" Without quotes

Ports:

The port numbers for PlayStation®Network servers used for this are

TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480, 5223, 8080

UDP: 3478, 3479.

For voice / video chat and online game play, direct communication with other PS3™ systems is used for data transmission during voice / video chat and online gaming. The port number used for this is UDP: 3658.

However, you may need to use a different port number when you are connected using a NAT router.

●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

But if you have Problems with your router not supporting port triggering do that steps:

1) Give your ps3 a static IP
2) Port Forward the ports above for the IP of your PS3.

Nat types:

Type 1: The PS3 is sitting directly on the Internet with a public IP address. This setup doesn't require NAT or inbound port forwarding and is used in scenarios where the PS3 is the only device wanting to use the Internet connection. This isn't that common as most users share their Internet connection with other devices in their home.

Type 2: This is the most common and ideal type where the PS3 is sitting behind a RG that is performing NAT. The PS3 will have a private IP address which is translated to a private or public IP address by the RG.

Type 3: This usually implies you have a problem in the way the PS3 is accessing the Internet. This may be caused by a firewall or port restrictions. This isn't ideal and will result in a sub-optimal gaming experience.

The difference between a Type 2 and Type 1 NAT is usually physical and can't be changed by settings alone. If you have a Type 2 or higher NAT type then you are connected correctly and can have an optimal gaming experience.
