One is Apple's take on one of their hallmark pieces of photo-manipulation software. The other is a tablet-optimized version of Adobe's category-defining Photoshop, the program so ubiquitous its name became a verb. They're both recent additions to the App Store, and I wondered what it was like to use both.

Magical virtual brushes, fun with layers, and ridiculous mistakes that only great tutorials can fix. It's all there. Join me as I put these apps through their paces and get a general impression of each, then compare and contrast their weaknesses and highlights. After a week's worth of use, I know which one I'd buy.
