This is the unboxing video of the second 4G LTE smartphone for Verizon, the Samsung Droid Charge (SCH-i510). The Droid Charge comes with the basic accessories to get started along with a 32GB microSD Card preinstalled. While the Droid Charge is capable of displaying 720p video via the microHDMI port, there is no cable included.
First impressions of the Droid Charge is that it is a hefty device at around 143 grams with the 1600mAh battery installed. Like the other 4G device on Verizon, the HTC Thunderbolt, the Charge is also mildly thick (11.2mm). With the trend of thinner-is-better smartphones, the Droid Charge is up against some very thin 4G devices available on T-Mobile and AT&T. The 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display is very clear but in comparison to Samsung's previous Super AMOLED technology the difference is negligible.
Stay tuned for more videos where we delve into the hardware and software of the 4G LTE Droid Charge.
