When we learned that the T-Mobile G2 would be coming with an 800MHz processor, many were disappointed, others declared they simply wouldn't consider the device at all.
Some defended the decision in that the G2 is the replacement for the 500MHz G1, not the 1000MHz Nexus One. Others defended the decision based on the newer processor and claiming that when it comes to speed "megahertz isn't everything".
Now that we've actually got the device in-hand, how does it actually stack up?
First impressions aren't everything, but they're fairly indicative of whether or not a device will be generally accepted. Based on that factor alone this device wins hands down. The speed and fluidity of the UI and the speed at which apps launch is noticeably faster than anything I've ever used before.
