Rettinger's Rants: Cable TV
Learn more about Full Sail's online degree program: fullsail.edu/technobuffalo
Jon R is back with an all new show where he rants and raves on various topics in and out of the tech world. On this week's episode, Jon rants about the lack of choice in current cable/satellite TV. Basic TV is great but sometimes you really want to watch a sports game that isn't available locally or watch a show that is only on cable networks. So you signup for a cable or satellite package that gives you access to those channels you want to see plus another 100+ channels you don't care about. Month after month you are stuck paying for every single channel you aren't watching. We do not have the option to choose the channels we want to pay for, it's all or nothing. Sure, we could try services like Hulu and Netflix but a lot of programing is still missing from these online services. A new bill is being proposed that might finally change this and let consumers pay for what they want to watch. All this and more in this episode of Rants! tchno.be/14pLoLp
