Droid Xyboard 8.2 Unboxing & Hands On
There's been no shortage of tablet devices this year, and Verizon is seeing fit to say goodbye to 2011 by introducing an oddly named Honeycomb line: Xyboard. How the honchos at Big Red ever thought the name would catch on, we'll never know. In a market dominated by the iPad and Kindle Fire, out comes not one, but two Xyboard variations slated to succeed this year's Xoom.
The design is interesting, and it comes equipped with LTE, but are those features enough for consumers to take notice over something like the Transformer Prime? Priced at $430 for the 16GB model and $530 for the 32GB (with two-year contract) the Xyboard 8.2 sure isn't cheap, especially when you factor in the cost of a data plan.
