While at CTIA 2011, TechnoBuffalo's own Jon Rettinger was able to take the opportunity to speak with Glenn Lurie, President of Emerging Devices, Resale and Partnerships for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Mr. Lurie, he was one of the key players involved in brokering the deal between AT&T and Apple for the first-generation iPhone, negotiating with Steve Jobs for the phone that would one day be the talk of the mobile industry.

Jon spoke with Mr. Lurie about such subjects as the history of AT&T history, the famous deal for the iPhone and even touched on where connectivity will be heading in the future. Not every moment was spent on tech, however, as Jon and Mr. Lurie also discussed the latter's time as a professional soccer player before joining AT&T in the age of the Motorola DynaTAC phones.
