Let f(d) be the smallest number such that every set of diameter 1 in R^d can be covered by f(d) sets of smaller diameter. Borsuk asked whether f(d)=d+1 holds in all dimensions. A negative answer in very high dimensions was described by Jeff Kahn and me in 1993. In the lecture I will describe some questions around Borsuk's problem.
