Medrock Corp, a pharmaceutical company, who had a legacy AS400 system and were looking to migrate off of this to SAP. Once they made the decision to move to SAP, they then evaluated on-premises infrastructure and cloud. As they looked at the time, money and resources it would take to manage their own infrastructure, it became clear that AWS was the best option.
They realized that the cost of AWS was significantly lower, coming in at a 40:8 ratio. It was not only the cost that was appealing, but also the availability and efficiency, in terms of automatically doing updates, and other tasks. AWS delivered on all of Medrock’s criteria.
